The Future of Medical Excellence

The programme is made up of six (6) modules Viz:

Clinical Learning Facilities

Students will receive a clinical placement programme after completion of every block, which will present the student with guidelines of meeting required practica.

  Clinical Facility: Students must take note that they will be placed in more than one Clinical Facility during their training and that transport to these institutions is their own responsibility.

  Uniform: Students will have to wear a prescribed uniform when attending clinical training as well as carry a student card and the necessary distinguishing devices.

  Remuneration: The South African Nursing Council prescribes a minimum of 720 hours practica training per year, however the Academy prescribes 1000 hours. Learners will receive no remuneration (salary) or stipend for practice experience in clinical institutions.

  Working Schedule: On duty /off duty schedule will be determined by Striving Minds Nursing Academy e.g. 07h00 – 19h00/ Day and Night Duties / Mondays to Sundays.

  Night Duty: Students will not be required to go on night duty within the first 6 months of training
